This shirts goal is to remind people to forgive and not keep track of wrongs. The story comes out of Matthew 18 where Peter asks Jesus how many times we must forgive people… though Jesus responds and says “70 times 7”, this does not mean we should put a cap on our “forgivings” at 490 times… it simply means we should ALWAYS be showing people grace and forgiveness, not keeping track or insinuating there is a limit to it. Afterall, Christ has forgiven us countless times and will continue to. He has even FORGOTTEN our sins. While we aren’t expected to completely forget wrongs, who are we to hold things over people and withhold forgiveness?
