Perfect for both retro, standard and High Efficiency (HE) washers, here's how to use it:
For Standard Washing Machines:
- Front Loading: Add two teaspoons of Bewilderment Laundry Powder directly into the drum before loading your laundry. A simple sprinkle is all it takes for a fresh, clean load.
- Top Loading: To ensure even distribution, sprinkle the powder into the drum before adding clothes. This prevents the powder from clinging to the sides instead of cleaning your clothes.
For High Efficiency (HE) Washers:
- Place one teaspoon at the bottom of the empty drum and another teaspoon (or less, as needed) in the detergent drawer. Remember, overfilling the drawer can hinder performance—less truly is more.
- Avoid placing powder directly on top of the laundry load to prevent residue on the basin walls as it begins to spin.
- For an alternative method, dissolve two teaspoons of powder in equal parts water and pour the solution into the detergent drawer.
For Extra Dirty Loads:
Use 1/3 cup in the basin of your machine, then add clothes. Run using your large load option, such as “Deep Clean”. Warm/hot water and enough water to cover your clothes is needed. Do not use more than 1/2 cup for any given large load! That’s more than plenty.
Can I use alongside bleach?
Yep! Don’t mix directly with bleach though. Put bleach in its compartment separate from the washing powder.
Does it dissolve in cold water?
Our product dissolves in cold water, given that there is enough water and enough agitation in a 60-minute wash. The hottest and warmest water possible for your garments is always recommended.
Can I use alongside detergent?
Yep! Simply use less detergent than usual.
Any warnings?
Always check color-fastness of garments first, and use hottest water garment will allow. Not for use on leather, silk, wool or garments labeled dry clean only. Always test on an inconspicuous area first. Fully dry garments after rinse.

Bonus Idea!
Mix one part powder with one part water to create a scouring paste for tough stains on kitchen goods. Do not use on aluminum.
